DesktopSlime

DesktopSlime is a tiny, cozy desktop companion. A rusty pipe drips at the top of your screen, and every few drops a little slime is born and waddles out across your desktop. They breathe, hop, and lean toward your mouse when it gets close — and they're completely click-through, so they never get in the way of your work.

Catch them, collect them, and make the special ones your own.

What you can do

• Catch & collect — tap a slime to add it to your Compendium. There are 20 species with their own looks, rarities and bilingual (English/German) descriptions… plus one secret slime that only shows up once you've catalogued them all.
• Discover variants — every species has its own rare sub-types (spotted, striped, bubbly, faceted, sparkly, hearted and more), each tracked as a sub-category in the Compendium. Finding a rare one comes with a little sparkle.
• The Sacred Hall — drag your favorites into a permanent display case. Take one out to roam your desktop as a pet, and dress it up with hats, bow ties and glasses.
• Make it yours — settings for how many slimes appear, how fast they drip, sound on/off, start-with-Windows, and back up / restore your progress. A short tutorial walks you through everything on first launch.

Nice little touches

• Slimes spread out naturally across the whole screen instead of clustering.
• Milestone banners as your collection grows.
• Hide the whole thing instantly with Ctrl + Alt + H (handy while screen-sharing).
• …and maybe a hidden surprise for anyone who remembers a certain old cheat code. 

Under the hood
No installation, no dependencies, no bloat. Every sprite and sound is generated procedurally in code — the whole thing is a single tiny executable plus its art folder. Just unzip and run.
